The arrival of Lewis Hamilton

The arrival of Lewis Hamilton has shaken the world of Formula One to its core. His talent is astonishing, there for all the world to see. How fortunate for them he is in the top team of the season otherwise his skill would be masked by driving an inferior car, as is the case with Robert Kubice. The other measure of a driver's skill is how he rates compared with his team mate who of course drives the same car and the same technology. In Hamilton's case he is more than a match for his team mate, the reigning world champion no less. He is cool beyond our understanding. The image of him sitting calmly in his car as it is winched back on to the track on the end of a forklift truck will be the enduring image of the season. The remainder of the season will have us all in thrall as we watch and discover who will come out on top.
Nobody will bet against this rookie winning the driver's championship in his first season.
