QE2 to become a floating hotel

News item: "After nearly four decades as the world’s most celebrated ocean-going liner, the QE2 is to become a floating hotel off the coast of Dubai."
I remember spending a night on the Queen Mary, in Los Angeles years ago. I think the Americans did a fantastic job of preserving and presenting her, with sections of the ship on display. The engine room was immaculate, and they had some cabins set up as they would have been in the ship's heyday. I'm sure they will do a fantastic job in Dubai, after all, money is no object there.
But, what is going on in Dubai? The whole UAE is seeing massive investment in infrastructure and it is becoming a very business-friendly area.
