The Union Jack Club
Posted by Mark 24 August 2007
The original Club was opened by King Edward VII in July 1907 on the same site where the present building stands.
During its 100 year history it has accommodated over 15 million guests and continues to serve the military community to this day.
The Club
The Union Jack Club is ideally situated as a base for visiting London, easy to reach by rail and underground, and close to the major attractions London has to offer.
The Union Jack Club is an ideal venue for meeting friends and enjoying an evening drink at our large bar, or a quiet chat in one of the many smaller club rooms.
Our excellent restaurant offers lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices, snacks are available in the Bar lounge throughout the day, and Afternoon and High Teas are served from 3.00pm daily.
There is a pleasant terrace where drinks and lunches can be taken and a Shop with military and London souvenirs.
Use of the Club is restricted to Members of the Club only and identity must be proved on entry. Guests are requested to show proof of identity and eligibility when entering the Club.
All serving men and women below Commissioned Rank of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, including the Royal Naval Reserve, Royal Marines Reserve, Territorial Army, Royal Auxiliary Air Force and adult members of Cadet Forces are automatically Full Members of the Club and need only show their Service ID card to gain entry to the Club.
